Monitoring, Measuring and Preventing Overboard Discharge

Our ClearView oily water discharge monitoring system is designed as a complete and integrated equipment package, which is easily and inexpensively tailored to suit each vessel.

ClearView offers a complete tamperproof monitor of all OWS and related waste storage and disposal functions with inbuilt safety interlocks, preventing the probability of an illegal overboard discharge of oily water in violation of the current MARPOL regulations while in a prohibited area, protecting  both the environment and the owner from the heavy fines that can result. The operations are automatically and permanently logged in electronic format to support and protect both the crew and the owner.

ClearView takes the worry out of accidental overboard discharge by overriding the existing OWS plant and all machinery with a real-time monitoring and fail-safe activation system. For added security a GPS “Geo-Fence” and auto-interlock and divert control ensures no out of limit discharge can occur in protected areas. Real-time data gathered from the ship is securely stored and may be linked into the ships existing communication system for routine transmission to a shore based server where the information is available for viewing and historical review and may be made available to authorities as required.

ClearView Analyser is a partner application to the ClearView system. It provides automatic analysis of data from vessels as it is received and may be set to automatically prepare detailed reports of user defined events such as discrete OWS runs and the status of all parameters during the relevant period. The user may create custom reports by selecting the parameters and time frame of interest. ClearView Analyser can also automatically email out user defined reports.
